Making the statement today at the national planning and investment meeting, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng noted that there remain abundant potentials and advantages for Việt Nam to score the set targets in 2010.

Better quality of economic growth will help the country achieve sustainable and high rates of development, said the Government chief.

To make this a reality, the PM suggested his inferiors realize the set goals on schedule, resume the growth impetus, perfect the quality and efficiency of the national economic restructuring, ensure the trade balance, guarantee social security, speed up administrative reforms, and boost up production.

According to MPI Minister Võ Hồng Phúc, Việt Nam has fulfilled its set socio-economic goals in 2009, especially by successfully curbing the economic recession and maintaining reasonable growth rates (5.2%). These achievements have stemmed from proactive forecasts, correct analysts of the global and national realties, and good management of the Government, confirmed the Minister.
