Gov’t chief arrives in Osaka for G20 Summit

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, his spouse, and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation arrived at Kansai international airport at 14:50 (local time) on June 27 to attend the G20 Summit and visit Japan.

The PM was greeted by Japan Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Kiyoto Tsuji, Chief of Protocol for Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Kiminori Iwama, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam, and Consulate General of Viet Nam in Osaka, Japan, Vu Tuan Hai.

The same day, PM Phuc will meet with CEOs in Japan.

In the following day, the Government chief is scheduled to attend different sessions of the G20 Summit; hold bilateral meetings with leaders of foreign countries, meet with businesses and friendship organizations in Kansai region.

This is the fourth time within ten years Viet Nam attends G20 Summit. Viet Nam is among the eight special guests at this year’s G20 Summit. 

The 14th G20 Summit will take place on June 28 and 29 in Osaka. It comprises four discussion sessions namely (1) global issues concerning trade, investment; (2) innovation and the digital economy, (3) sustainable development, employment, women’s issue and health care, and (4) the environment, energy and climate change./.
