The Đồng Đăng-Lạng Sơn BGEZ will be converted into a trade, service, tourism and industrial center for the whole northern midland region. In addition, the BGEZ will function as a regional and international trade hub as well as an important transportation center of the Lạng Sơn-Hà Nội-Hải Phòng-Quảng Ninh Economic Corridor and the economic belt in the Gulf of Tokin.

Meanwhile, the Thanh Thủy BGEZ will be transformed into an international trade gateway and transportation hub serving to spur trade and service linkages between Northern Việt Nam with Yunnan, China, and other countries in the region.

* Đồng Đăng-Lạng Sơn BGEZ

Covering an area of 39,400 hectares, the Đồng Đăng-Lạng Sơn BGEZ will comprise a tariff area and a non-tariff area, areas for preservation, limitation, security and national defense.

The master plan gives priority to the construction of some projects on resettlement, new urban areas, Hồng Phong industrial park, Hợp Thành industrial complex, and industrial complex No. 2, Tân Thanh border gate, shopping malls in Đồng Đăng and Lạng Sơn, and Hà Nội-Lạng Sơn highway.

* Thanh Thủy BGEZ

By 2030, the economic zone will have 1,600-1,800 hectares of functional zones, 20,000-23,000 hectares of agricultural and forestry areas, and 550-600 hectares of reserve land.

Thanh Thủy BGEZ will include tariff areas, processing zones, industrial parks, tourism areas, urban areas, residential quarters, administrative quarters and others./.
