Gov't calls for mother and child's care

VNGOP – Celebrating the World Population Day, the National Committee for Population, Family and Children (CPFC) held a meeting in the morning of July 10. Deputy PM, Foreign Minister Phạm Gia Khiêm attended and delivered a speech.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm asked all echelons, sectors, associations and mass organizations to set up and realize practical action programs in order to fulfill Việt Nam's commitments in caring and protecting Vietnamese women's and mothers' health, dealing with weaknesses in the population scale, structure and quality.

The Deputy PM expressed his gratitude to other countries, international organizations and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for their supports to Việt Nam in resolving population-related problems. Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm confirmed that the Vietnamese Government will do its best to fulfill millennium goals, further improving people's health care and Vietnamese mothers' reproductive health.
