Government issues February meeting Resolution

VPG - The Government has issued a resolution on its February meeting with important tasks for the coming time stated.

Ministries, sectors and localities were asked to seek measures and intensively implement assigned tasks to ease difficulties and create favorable conditions for production and trade with a focus on reviewing and improving the market economy mechanism, boosting administrative reforms in taxation, customs, social welfare, land, construction, power access, business establishement and insolvency.

The resolution asked for more effective coordination among State management agencies in realizing the master plan on restructuring the economy and approved schemes on restructuring sectors.

The Government required the State Bank of Viet Nam to continue active and flexible monetary policy in a close linkage with the fiscal policy to ensure macroeconomic stability, support production and export, as well as boosting economic growth.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment was assigned to work with other ministries, agencies and localities to implement effectively the Law on Public Investment, enhance public-private partnership and investment models without using the State budget in order to mobilize all resources for socio-economic development.
The Ministry of Finance was asked to coordinate with other ministries, agencies and localities to manage prices of fundamental goods under the State’s control.

The Ministry of Transportation was urged to quicken key transportation projects, take drastic measures to ensure traffic safety, examine transportation business and punish strictly violations.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade was asked to take synchronized measures to foster export, seek measures to expand markets, promote trade and take advantage of current markets.

The Ministry of Education and Training was required to implement effectively the national graduation examination for high-school students and the 2015 entrance examination to universities and colleges.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was asked to work with other ministries, agencies and localities to purchase rice for temporary storage, adjust the structure of plants and livestocks, improve the effectiveness of rice cultivation and boost the implementation of the National Target Program on New-style RuralArea Construction.

The Ministry of Health was required to enhance hospitals’ automony in finance, investment and human resources, improve the quality of heath care services and enhance scientific and technical transfer while continuing easing hospitals’ overload and boosting heath insurance, preventive medicine and food safety.

The Government also asked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to enhance management over festivals and punish strictly violations.

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs was required to meet labor demand of businesses and have prompt solutions to prevent hunger.

The Ministry of Home Affairs was asked to enhance reforms in public officer policy while the Ministry of Information and Communications to enhance communication about big events and encourage people to fulfill socio-economic tasks in 2015.

The Ministry of Public Security was assigned to have plans to crack down  on crimes, preventi fires and explosions, handle traffic violations and illegal usage of chemicals in producing and preserving farm products.

The Government required the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to realize the Government’s action plan and the Politburo’s resolution on international integration, enhancing relations with partners and promoting diplomatic activities for socio-economic development.
