VNGOVNet – Acting on behalf of the PM, Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng agreed on March 23 with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to be the major implementer, under collaboration with the relevant ministries, sectors and local authorities, in discussing with Cambodian and Lao partners the application of preferential regimes and policies in order to facilitate the movement of people, vehicles and commodities as well as encourage investment and trade activities within the Development Triangle between Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The Agreements must be submitted to the PM for consideration and approval.

VNGOVNet – Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on reporting the outcomes of the International Meeting on Railway Transport, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm, on behalf of the PM, agreed on March 22 in principle that the MoFA and the Ministry of Transport (MT) will collaborate with the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) in organizing a seminar in Vietnam to introduce the Cape Town Convention and the related protocols.
VN-Indonesia Joint Committee to convene 4th session in April 07:05 | 23/03/2007
VNGOVNet – On the proposal of the Ministry of Trade, the PM agreed on March 22 that Trade Minister Trương Đình Tuyển will head a Vietnamese working team to Indonesia where they collaborate with the Indonesian partners in organizing the 4th meeting of the Vietnam-Indonesia Joint Committee in Jakarta from April 04-06, 2007 and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on rice trade between the two countries.

VNGOVNet – Considering the proposal of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) and the opinions of the Ministry of Finance and the National Steering Board for dealing with consequences caused by the US use of harmful chemicals during Vietnam War, the PM agreed with the plan to organize an international meeting in Moscow, Russian Federation, in August 2008 to support Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

VNGOVNet – The PM has just delivered his opinions on additional expense and readjusted schedule to realize the technical design and building supervision contracts as part of the Provincial Roads Upgrading Project using loans from the Asia Development Bank (ADB). VNGOVNet – On behalf of the Government, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has just signed Decree 40/2007/NĐ-CP stipulating the customs evaluation of exports and imports. Accordingly, the customs evaluation will facilitate taxation or statistic work. Imports’ taxed value is the actual costs at the first border gate while their statistic value is identified on the basis of the calculated taxation value.
