VNGOVNet – On behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm agreed on February 6 with the Vĩnh Long Province Union of Friendship Organizations and the Trà Ôn Hospital to take over 55 secondhand medical beds with the quality remaining over 85%, 15 sphygmomanometers and 125 new transfusion kits granted by the US Orphan Grain Train.

VNGOVNet – Following the proposal of PetroVietnam and recommendations of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the PM on January 31 approved the tentative project to build the third oil refinery with the minimum capacity of 7 million tons per year. The refinery is expected to be finished and put into operation prior to 2015.

VNGOVNet – On behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm approved the project ‘Increasing capability of designing and implementing socio-economic development plans and providing basic social services in Kon Tum Province’ with a total budget of US$5 million jointly granted by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA), and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The project includes the purchase of seven ambulances, one van and one 7-seat car. The project’s corresponding fund is taken from the annual budget of Kon Tum Province pursuant to the State Budget Law.
