The Vietnamese Government encourages enterprises to invest in high-tech agriculture and coordinate with other partners and local people to enhance consumption of agricultural products, he said, appraising the U.S. investors to pour more investment in agriculture in Viet Nam.

Mr. Michael Michalak said that the U.S. businesses see Viet Nam as an attractive destination, adding that nine enterprises from the USABC to Viet Nam this time are operating in agriculture.

Representatives of the U.S. businesses expressed their hope to invest and expand operation in Viet Nam in fields of production and distribution of animal feed, food processing, production of veterinary drugs and pesticides.

The same occasion, they thanked the Vietnamese Government and relevant functional agencies for facilitating them to expand operation and distribution network in Viet Nam, committing to closely obeying Viet Nam’s laws and fully implementing social responsibility and community activities.

Mr. Dung asked the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to work with the business community in general and the U.S. enterprises in particular to establish a strategy on development of agriculture value chain, the trademark of  Vietnamese agricultural products and attract more investment to develop agricultural economy in the way of applying high technology.

He suggested the USABC support more U.S. enterprises to visit Viet Nam to seek for further investment opportunities.
