Mr. Markus Ederer went on to say that Germany protests against unilateral actions that complicate the situation in the East Sea.

Both sides noted with pleasure the growing relations between the two countries in various fields like politics-diplomacy, economy, education and training, and science and technology.

The two countries agreed to closely coordinate in preparing for high-level visits to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2015; accelerating key projects, including the Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 2 and Viet Nam-Germany University, in a bid to strengthen the bilateral relations.

Deputy PM, FM Minh welcomed the European country’s organization of the 14th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK 14) in Ho Chi Minh City in November this year.

Meanwhile, State Secretary Markus Ederer affirmed that his country will continue providing official development assistance to Viet Nam, focusing on such areas of energy, environment and vocational training.

Both Viet Nam and Germany vowed to continue mutual support at multilateral forums and international organizations.
