General Secretary Trong extends Tet greetings to Party, State leaders

VGP - General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong extended best wishes on the new lunar year to Party and State leaders at a gathering in Ha Noi on February 14.

The gathering saw the presence of former General Secretaries Le Kha Phieu and Nong Duc Manh, State President Truong Tan San, former President Tran Duc Luong, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, Politburo members, Party Central Committee’s members, Ministers and many other former officials.

The Party leader also extended best wishes to senior revolutionaries, former officials, compatriots, soldiers and overseas Vietnamese.

General Secretary reviewed the country’s achievements in 2014, saying that the achievements were results of the whole nation’s efforts under the sound leadership of the Party, the active monitoring and management of the State, proving strength and intellectual of the national great unity bloc.

In 2015, the country will both have many opportunities and face numerous difficulties and challenges which require the whole Party, people and the army to further strive for targets set for this year.
