Four Foreign Nationals Test Positive for COVID-19

VGP – Four foreign nationals and five Vietnamese returnees became the latest COVID-19 patients in Viet Nam, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

All new COVID-19 patients documented since March 28, 2021 are imported cases

The foreign nationals are from Germany, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Moldova.

They took flight EK394 from the United Arab Emirates to Ha Noi on April 10 and have been quarantined and treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in the city’s Dong Anh District.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese nationals include four brought home from Angola, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and India between March 25 and April 10.

The other returned to Viet Nam on April 10 via the Ha Tien International Border Gate in the Southern province of Kien Giang.

Earlier this morning, the nation confirmed three imported cases of COVID-19. All of them are Vietnamese repatriated from Japan on April 9 and have been quarantined and treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

The same day, the National Steering Committee, led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, reported that 16 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the virus, raising the total recoveries to 2,445./.
