The trade surplus gained from exporting forestry products is estimated to reach US$4.392 billion, including US$4.096 billion from wood and wooden products.

The forestry exports may account for 23% of the total agricultural sector’s export value.

The Viet Nam Administration of Forestry forecasts that the exports of forestry products in the next months of 2018 continue to rise, especially at Viet Nam’s traditional markets such as the U.S., China, the Republic of Korea, Japan and the EU.

The export value of forestry products in seven months of 2018 attained US$5.03 billion, up 12.3% against the same period last year.
