Hung stressed the point at the interpellation session of the National Assembly Standing Committee in Ha Noi on Thursday.

Social media apps like Facebook, YouTube and Apple have better implemented local authorities’ requests with 70-75% for Facebook, 80-85% for YouTube, and 75% for Apple, said the minister.

Facebook is the top service in Viet Nam with 58 million users, making Viet Nam among top 10 countries in terms of the number of active Facebook users.

Meanwhile, the number of users of Vietnamese social media platforms increased by around 30% over the past year to 65 million, Hung said./.
