Foreign leaders continue congratulating VN on National Day

VGP – Foreign leaders have extended congratulations to Vietnamese counterparts on the 72nd anniversary of the National Day (August 2, 1945-August 2, 2017) of Viet Nam.

Myanmar President Htin Kyaw, State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi, Vice President Mynint Swe and Vice President Henry Van Thio cabled messages of congratulations to State President Tran Dai Quang, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh.

In the messages, the leaders of Myanmar expressed pleasure as the two countries have lifted up bilateral ties to Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership and identified measures to further consolidate and expand the two sides’ cooperation.

They firmly belived that the good relationship between Viet Nam and Myanmar would continue developing in the years to come for mutual benefits and for a stronger ASEAN Community.

In their congratulatory messages, India’s President Ram Nath Kovind and PM Narendra Modi affirmed that India attaches great importance to the friendly, long-lasting relations and the Strategic Partnership with Viet Nam.

The Indian leaders underlined that this year is a special year for both sides to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties and 10th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership.

They expressed their belief that the bilateral ties would become increasingly consolidated.

In his felicitation message, Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro Moros affirmed his country would like to consolidate political ties, cooperation and friendship with Viet Nam.

Germany’s President Frank-Walter Steinmeier sent a congratulatory message to State President Tran Dai Quang, affirming Germany’s wish to further boost the Viet Nam-Germany relations.

President of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Moon Jae-in spoke highly of the significant achievements of the Viet Nam-RoK relations over the past time.

He expects to work with Viet Nam to further enhance the bilateral ties and wish that Viet Nam would successfully host the APEC economic leaders’ meeting this year.

In his congratulatory message to State President Tran Dai Quang, US President Donald Trump wrote that he expects to work with State President Quang to foster the bilateral ties and to visit Viet Nam in November this year.

On this special occasion, President Donald Trump extended the warmest congratulations, wishing peace, prosperity and happiness to Viet Nam.

Italy’s President Sergio Mattarella wrote in his message that the close friendship between Ha Noi and Rome has created foundations for both sides to have increasing contacts and cooperation in various fields.

France’s President Emmanuel Macron expressed his wish to continue stepping up cooperation with Viet Nam towards the 5th anniversary of the establishment of Strategic Partnership and 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties with Viet Nam in 2018.

Governor-General of Australia Peter Cosgrove affirmed that Viet Nam is a key partner of Australia in the region, highly valuing the vigorous advancement of the bilateral cooperation in various fields.

He stressed Viet Nam’s hosting of the APEC Year 2017 is a wonderful opportunity to show the dynamism of the Vietnamese economy.

The Australian Governor-General vowed to continue support for Viet Nam to successfully host the APEC Year and to foster cooperation with Viet Nam.

Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko and PM Volodymyr Groysman affirmed that their country attaches special importance to developing comprehensive relations with Viet Nam.

They expressed their belief that both sides’ strong efforts to boost the multi-faceted cooperation would help gain positive outcomes and benefits to the two people.

On the occasion, Myanmar FM Aung San Suu Kyi, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Ukraine FM Pavlo Klimkin also cabled congratulatory messages to Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh./.
