Foreign leaders congratulate new Vietnamese State President

VGP - Leaders of India, Brunei, Myanmar, New Zealand, and other countries continued to send congratulations to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on his election as State President of Viet Nam.

Indian President Ram Nath Kovind wrote that India extremely attaches importance to ties with Viet Nam. The two countries share abundant common benefits. According to Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, the two countries bear responsibilities and enjoy vast opportunities for contributing to peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indian and Pacific regions. He believed that his visit to Viet Nam in November would further cement and deepen political trust and deepen bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership for the benefit of their peoples. 

Sultan of Brunei Suntan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah expressed his aspiration to work closely with the President to further deepen ties on bilateral and regional aspects.  

President of Myanmar Win Myint expressed his belief that under the leadership of the new President, Viet Nam would gain greater achievements in national construction and development, affirming that Myanmar would continue closely partnering with Viet Nam to foster their comprehensive strategic partnership. 

Governor General of New Zealand Patsy Reddy stressed that bilateral ties are growing in trade, education, politics and national defense, towards achieving the strategic partnership level.  

On the occasion, leaders of political parties from India, Mexico, Argentina, Sudan, Dominica, Ecuador, Peru and Palestine also conveyed congratulations to the Vietnamese newly-elected President./.
