Foreign Ministry ready to protect Vietnamese citizen in Paris

VGP – The Vietnamese citizens residing, studying and working in Paris, France need to strictly obey the local authorities’ guidance, avoiding access to the blockade areas surrounding the explosion scene.

The advice came immediately after the explosion in the center of the capital city of Paris on January 12 and the Vietnamese Embassy in France contacted with the Crisis and Support Center, under the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development to get information about  the case. 

Accordingly, two deaths, 10 serious injuries and 37 slight injuries were reported. 

The French Ministry announced that no Vietnamese citizen was found in the case, affirming to promptly report to the Vietnamese side through a prioritized contact line in case any Vietnamese citizen is affected. 

The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs directed the Vietnamese Embassy in France to closely follow the case and keep contact with the French functional agencies to update information and be ready to launch citizen protection measures if necessary.
