Five patients cleared of COVID-19

VGP – Five more patients have been cleared of COVID-19, bringing the total recoveries in Viet Nam to 335, making up 94% of the 355 confirmed cases, according to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

As of June 29, the hospital treated 182 patients including 18 foreigners, of whom 176 were cleared of COVID-19.

So far, there are only six active cases in the hospital. 

The latest recovered patients will be mandatorily isolated and medically monitored in the next two weeks.

Patient 344 is a 52-year old man residing in Cua Lo Town of Nghe An Province. He was admitted to the hospital on June 19, 2020 and was tested negative three times.

Patient 346 is a 6-year old boy in Ha Noi’s Bac Tu Liem District. The boy was admitted to the hospital on June 19 and received negative tests twice. 

Patient 348 is a 39-year old man in Ha Noi’s Bac Tu Liem District.  He was admitted to the hospital on June 19 and was tested negative for the virus twice. 

Patient 351 and patient 352 are female,  aged 46 and 30, who landed in Ha Noi on June 18 on board Kuwait Airways flight KU1513. They were admitted to the hospital on June 24 and received negative tests twice and thrice, respectively. 

As of June 29, Viet Nam has undergone 74 days without any new community infection and reported 215 imported cases. 

At present, 49 out of 50 foreign patients have cleared of the novel coronavirus. 

Stephen Cameron, known commonly as Patient 91 is a 43-year-old pilot who staged a remarkable recovery after being comatose for more than two months. The patient could go home on a repatriation flight set to depart from Ha Noi on July 12 if he is well enough./.
