On September 1, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyễn Đình Bin delivered first VECs to 22 Vietnamese nationals.

Mr. Bùi Thanh Tùng, Secretary General of the Association of Vietnamese People in France, confirmed that the decision brings a great pleasure to the Vietnamese community abroad in general and in France in particular.

On September 2, the Vietnamese Embassies in Australia and Japan granted 34 first VECs.

Ms. Lê Thị Ngân at the Australian National University, one of the first receivers of VECs, expressed her pleasure and confidence that the Vietnamese Government’s decision to exempt overseas Vietnamese from entry visa is greatly lauded by the Vietnamese community abroad. The decision not only facilitates people’s entry into Việt Nam but also bring them closer to their fatherland.
