The Meeting, consisting of a plenary and four topical sessions, aims at building up a powerful overseas Vietnamese community which preserves national identities and actively contributes to the country’s cause of industrialization and modernization.

The event is expected to be a venue for the State’s intention to perfect policies on overseas Vietnamese and the aspiration of Vietnamese nationals residing in other countries to make contributions to the fatherland.

Over the past years, the State has issued many important policies on visa exemption, dual nationality, and house ownership in favor of overseas Vietnamese.

The overseas Vietnamese community is always considered an indispensable part of the Vietnamese nation.
