VGP - A program entitled “International Cuisine Culture Day 2013” will be co-organized in the central city of Da Nang by the Da Nang Center for Events and Festivals Organization, the Russian Consulate General in Da Nang and the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Viet Nam.

April 25, 2013 5:26 PM GMT+7

As one of the cultural activities during the forthcoming DIFC (Da Nang International Fireworks Competition) 2013, the program will take place from April 27- 30 to introduce to local residents and visitors cultural values as well as featured traditional cuisines of participating countries (the US, Russia, Japan, Italy and Viet Nam).

The stands at the event will have unique designs depicting cultural values of participating countries. They will host the performance of cooking skills featured the five participating countries.

In particular, visitors will also have an opportunity to gain an insight into cultures of the five participating countries at the common cultural space through images, products and activities of each country.  The cultural space will be shaped with the support from the Russian Consulate General in Da Nang, the Italian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Viet Nam

In addition, they will explore a wide range of other attractive cultural and art activities such as a Japanese tea ceremony, an Origami paper folding, calligraphy, the making of sand and stone paintings, a photo exhibition entitled “Smog in Sapa”- featuring photos taken by Tran Phuoc Chinh. Musical performances along with fashion shows featuring the traditional costumes of countries will also take place in the evenings.
