Fireworks to light up in HCMC on New Year’s Eve
VGP - The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has agreed to hold fireworks displays to celebrate the New Year at Dam Sen Cultural Park on Hoa Binh Street, District 11.

Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong approved the proposal of Sai Gon Tourism General Company on the firework displays, asking relevant units to ensure safety.
Accordingly, during New Year's Eve the city will hold a 15-minute fireworks display in the park.
A New Year’s countdown event will be held on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street on the evening of December 31 with a 3-D mapping show illuminating the city hall building located at the street’s end.
Since Wednesday, festive lights have twinkled along streets from Tan Son Nhat International Airport to the city center, namely Truong Son, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ham Nghi, Dong Khoi, Le Duan, Pham Ngoc Thach, Ton Duc Thang, Vo Van Kiet, Ben Van Don, Nguyen Hue, Cach Mang Thang Tam, Hai
The annual light show will remain until January 20, 2018, using funds contributed from the private sector.
Landmark buildings such as the City Hall, the Municipal Theater, the HCMC Museum, the headquarters of District 1’s administration, the Central Post Office, and the Monument of Ho Chi Minh on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street will also be lit up with artistic lighting during the festive season./.
