The video-teleconference drew the attendance of Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue and ministerial and local leaders.

Addressing the event, PM Phuc said that financial policies, especially tax ones, have changed fast, causing negative effects on citizens and people. A large number of enterprises were found to have committed wrongdoings after tax investigations. Especially, some faced unjust conclusion from the tax agency due to fast policy adjustments from State agencies.

Mr. Phuc stressed the importance of tax policies which protect the rights of tax payers.

The Government chief noticed the importance of reviewing current tax regulations in line with others and standards of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations.

There are a lot of shortcomings in public asset management such as tax losses, groups of benefits, weak management of added value, electronic invoices, and non-cash payment.

The Ministry of Finance was urged to reshuffle personnel apparatus with 72,000 staff, including 42,000 in the tax sector and over 10,000 others in the  customs area./.
