Finance Ministry helps enterprises take advantages of CPTPP

VGP – The Ministry of Finance (MoF) will coordinate with relevant agencies to create business supporting packages to take advantages of opportunities brought from the realization of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

The MoF has released Decision No. 440/QĐ-BTC on issuing a plan on the implementation of the CPTPP.

The plan is carried out on the basis of such contents as communications, law establishment, enhancement of competitiveness capacity and human resource development.

The ministry will join hand with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to set up decrees defining verification of imported products' origin, customs cooperation and supervision as well as establish circulars stipulating the Certificate of Origin on CPTPP.

Regarding the improvement of competitiveness capacity and human resource development, the MoF will collaborate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to create supporting packages for medium, small and micro-sized enterprises and supporting programs to promote competitiveness capacity for the stocks and insurance sectors in Viet Nam.

In addition, a plan on enhancement of the use of an early warning system in trade defense will be soon established in line with consolidating interdisciplinary and local coordination mechanisms in addressing trade defense cases.
