Finance Minister chairs trade promotion conference in RoK

VGP – Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung chairs a trade promotion conference in the Republic of Korea (RoK) from April 16-19.

April 17, 2018 4:46 PM GMT+7

The event is aimed at attracting more investment capitals from the RoK to Viet Nam, thus enhancing the two nations’ relations in fields of investment and finance.

Discussions at the event will focus on sharing information about Viet Nam’s guidelines on restructuring the economy, policies on equitizing the State-owned enterprises and measures to boost indirect foreign investment on Viet Nam’s stock market.

The conference creates a dialogue for the two sides’ enterprises relating to advantages and disadvantages as well as ways to support the RoK’s investors to pour more investment in Viet Nam’s stock market and help Vietnamese enterprises to seek for potential partners in the RoK.

It also helps Viet Nam’s large corporations to get access to large RoK’s investors in fields of finance, banking and insurance and creates an opportunity for RoK investors to share about Viet Nam’s finance and insurance sectors.

Since 2014, the ministry successfully organized trade and investment promotion programs and meetings with businesses in key markets such as the U.S. and Japan.

The RoK is the largest investor in Viet Nam with the total capital till December 2017 of US$57.66 billion, accounting for 18.1% of Viet Nam’s total Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
