A new steel project helps Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu continue to take the top position in attracting FDI

In the first seven months, US $4.6 billion has been disbursed, accounting for 77.5% compared to the same period last year.

Many foreign-invested enterprises have expanded their production in July, including La Vie, DHL, TNT, Prudential and Metro. Winvest Investment Việt Nam Co. Ltd alone decided to spur its investment in a resort called Sài Gòn Atlantis in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province by a dozen times to US $4 billion from the current US $300 million.

The FIA reported that a large sum of FDI capital has been poured in accommodation and catering services (45%); processing industries lured 21% and real estates 18%.

Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu continues to attract the biggest FDI capital (63%).

Among the foreign investors, the Republic of Korea remains its top position with 89 new projects and US $51.1 million of additional FDI capital.
