ExxonMobil facilitated to operate cooperative programs, projects in VN
VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc welcomed the U.S. oil and gas group ExxonMobil to launch investment activities in Viet Nam, asserting that the Vietnamese Government will facilitate the ExxonMobil to successfully operate cooperative programs and projects in Viet Nam.

Mr. Jon Gibbs expressed his hope that the Vietnamese PM and Government will create favorable conditions for its cooperative projects with the Viet Nam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), bringing benefits for both.
He suggested the Government consider and facilitate cooperative projects to build power plants in Viet Nam to shorten the implementation period.
The PM said the Government approved the planning scheme for the Gas Treatment and Power Centre in the central region, including projects in the central provinces of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai, asking to ensure environmental protection and local people’ welfare.
He proposed ExxonMobil continue close coordination with the Electricity of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to guarantee the rate of progress of these projects.
Established in 1859, ExxonMobil is the largest refiner in the world, with 37 oil refineries in 21 countries with a combined daily refining capacity of 6.3 million barrels.
The same day, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with former Governor of the Republic of Korea’s Osan city Park Shin Won in HaNoi.
