November 10, 2017 5:13 PM GMT+7

The event is co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and run by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

Some 100 Korean businesses in such fields as beauty, cultural content and fashion showcase their products.

In addition, there will be consulting sessions for Korean export firms and local buyers as well as entertaining events for visitors including virtual reality experiences and live cartoon drawings. Korean content makers, 35 in total, will have one-on-one business meetings with local businesses to seek ways to cooperate in broadcasting, animation, characters and cartoons. Viet Nam Television (VTV), FPT Telecom, Malaysia's Payang Group Media and Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) are among the overseas participants in the sessions.

Addressing the opening ceremony, KOTRA Chairman and CEO Kim Jae Hong said the RoK is the second largest trade partner of Viet Nam and the biggest foreign investor in the country, adding that cultural exchanges have enhanced mutual understanding between the two nations.

RoK enterprises want to seek Vietnamese partners during the exhibition, he said, expressing hope that the event help firms explore the ASEAN market.

The event, part of activities to celebrate the 25th founding anniversary of Viet Nam-RoK diplomatic ties (December 22).
