Exhibition on 20th anniversary of VN’s participation in ASEAN

VGP – The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations' Ha Noi chapter cooperated with ASEAN nations’ Embassies to organize an exhibition themed “ASEAN-48 years of peace and development and the 20th anniversary of Viet Nam’s participation in ASEAN” in Ha Noi on September 8.

The exhibition gathered more than 100 photos capturing remarkable achievements made by each nation after joining ASEAN, ASEAN's development period over recent 48 years, together with images of Vietnamese Party and State leaders at ASEAN meetings.

The solidarity and cooperation between ASEAN members are our pride and assets, said Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Department of Popularization and Training Ho Quang Loi, adding that the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community manifests new development height and prospect for ASEAN.

The exhibition is meaningful in celebrating ASEAN's 48th founding anniversary, said Malaysian Ambassador to Viet Nam Azmil Zabidi.

He lauded Viet Nam's responsibility in ASEAN, affirming that Viet Nam has made active contributions to enhancing solidarity and stability in ASEAN.

The exhibition will last till September 15.
