Eleven new COVID-19 cases take national tally to 2,996
VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 11 new COVID-19 cases, including one local infection, on Tuesday afternoon, raising the national patient tally to 2,996.

Specifically, patient 2986 is a 37-year-old Indian man who took flight EK0394 from India to Ha Noi on April 17.
He was quarantined in Hai Phong City until April 30 and tested negative for the virus twice.
On May 1, he traveled to Ha Noi to live with their family in Hoang Mai District after completing 14-day mandatory quarantine period.
On May 3, he came to a hospital in the capital city for COVID-19 test and the outcomes released on the following showed that he was positive for the virus.
The man is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.
Patients 2987 and 2988 flew from Japan to the northern province of Quang Ninh on April 30.
Patient 2989 is a 25-year-old woman in Long My District of the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang.
She worked in Da Nang City and contracted the virus from patient 2982.
Patient 2990 is a 34-year-old man in Hai Phong’s Le Chan District.
She was repatriated from Qatar on April 17 on flight QR970.
Patients 2991 and 2992 are Indian men who flew from Qatar to Ho Chi Minh City on April 17.
Both of them are being treated at the city’s Cu Chi field hospital.
Patient 2993 is a 40-year-old man from Bac Giang City of Bac Giang Province.
He was brought home from Japan on April 23 on flight VJ3613.
Patient 2994 is a 24-year-old man from Nghi Son Town of Thanh Hoa Province.
He flew from Japan to Da Nang on May 2 on flight VJ8859.
Patient 2995 is a 25-year-old woman from Nho Quan District of Ninh Binh Province.
She returned to Viet Nam on April 28 via the Cau Treo border gate in Ha Tinh Province.
Patient 2996 is a 24-year-old woman from Dien Chau District of the central province of Nghe An.
She took flight VJ2723 from Japan to the central province of Khanh Hoa on April 24./.
