The expansion in IT manpower and application in education and training is considered a priority and decisive task in the country’s IT development.

A optical cable channel to link all the departments of education and training nationwide will be completed prior to October 31 this year. And before June 30, 2009, all universities and colleges will be connected to the optical cable network at preferential costs.

It is necessary to speed up IT application in renewing teaching and learning methods through e-Learning, encouraging teachers to prepare lesson plans online, holding online courses, and offering learners with various study options.

The IT application will be also promoted in educational management in order to advocate administrative reforms and e-government.

Since this school year, IT application is regarded as a criterion for evaluating different education sites.
