Eight mil. new jobs to be generated to 2010

VNGOP – This is a goal in the National Employment Program to 2010 just approved by the PM in Decision 101/2007/QĐ-TTg.

July 12, 2007 7:03 AM GMT+7

Accordingly, the Program consists of three projects and two activities (supervision and assessment; capacity increasing in labor-employment management).

Under the Program, 1.7-1.8 million young people will be given job opportunities through taking loans from the national employment fund.

A project plans to send 400,000-500,000 laborers to work abroad. This project mainly helps open new labor receiving markets, support vocational training activities and improve human resource's quality.

The last project on labor market development focuses on improving the capacity and modernizing 30-40 job placement centers so more than 4 million jobs seekers can get on the road to employment within five years. A website on the labor market will be set up by 2008.
