Economic growth is on rise
VGP – Việt Nam’s economy has shown signs of quick recovery toward the year’s end as the economic growth rate stood at 4.59% in September and 6.52% in the first nine months.
The economy shows positive signs during the first nine months of 2009 |
The economy grew by 3.14% and 4.46% in quarters 1 and 2 respectively, but it has rebounded by 5.76% in the third quarter.
This is a good precondition for Việt Nam to attain the NA-set target of a 5% economic growth rate this year.
For the last quarter, ministries and localities should continue to create favorable conditions for domestic enterprises to promote trade abroad and raise domestic consumption, suggested Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Cao Viết Sinh.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development should actively buy in agro-produce and food to ensure farmers’ earnings and prepare goods for the next quarter export, he continued.
Central agencies also need to review the disbursement of some behind-schedule projects.
