Attending the signing ceremony, Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng stated that, with the participation of Chinese designers and constructors, the Project will become a symbol of the close long-standing and multi-faceted cooperation between Việt Nam and China.
He asked the investor and contractors to ensure the work’s quality, schedule, safety and effectiveness, helping Việt Nam to afford agricultural inputs, fertilizers and food security, and boost industrial production as well.
The Cà Mau Fertilizer Factory is located in Khánh An Commune of southern Cà Mau Province. It will use natural gas from Việt Nam’s field PM3-CAA. With the annual capacity of 800,000 tons of fertilizer, the factory, after coming into operation, will help to raise the total output of fertilizers produced by PetroVietnam to 1.54 million tons per year.
