Dong Nai’s export value fetches over US$11 billion
VGP – Export value of the Southern province of Dong Nai rose by 5.56% to over US$11 billion in the first seven months of 2019, local authorities reported.
Of the total figure, footwear and garment exports reached US$3.5 billion, partly thanks to the official entry into force of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), allowing the province to expand market potential markets like Mexico and Canada.
The rising foreign direct investment flows to Dong Nai also played a role in enhancing the capacity of fiber production while the capacity of Vietnamese garment enterprises has also been improved, according to Dong Nai Department of Trade and Industry.
Other key exports in the reviewed period included machinery and equipment, timber and steel.
The US, Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, Belgium, Thailand, Germany and Australia are among the top importers of products originating from Dong Nai./.
