The Government leader made the remark while attending a ceremony launching the “Vietnamese goods conquer Vietnamese people” movement and introducing the inaugural electric cars and motorcycles of local automaker VinFast in Ha Noi on November 20.

He applauded the joint efforts made by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Vingroup to organize the event, calling on state-run and private enterprises, cooperatives and household firms to increase technology application and market research in order to produce quality products, towards conquering the potential domestic market of almost 100 million people and serve exports.

PM Phuc praised VinFast for its efforts to create the first value chain of made-in-Viet Nam automobiles and motorbikes in just a short period of time, as well as the firm’s plans to develop supporting industries and expand production.

He encouraged VinFast to implement its commitments to consumers, and ensure regulations on environmental protection, especially in industrial emissions and waste, thereby developing a competitive automotive brand that generates profits for the firm, contributions to the budget and more jobs for laborers.

He asked the VCCI, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and relevant agencies to coordinate with business associations to effectively implement the program.

At the event, Nguyen Viet Quang, General Director of Vingroup, announced the prices of three new VinFast automobile models, namely VinFast Lux SA2.0, VinFast Lux A2.0, and VinFast Fadil.

Accordingly, Lux SA2.0 and Lux A2.0 cost VND1.818 billion (over US$77,166) and VND1.366 billion (over US$58,303), respectively, while Fadil costs VND423 million (US$18,134). However, in the initial period, these models will be sold according to VinFast’s “three No” policy, so the prices will be VND1.136 billion, VND800 million and VND336 million, respectively.
