Development plan for Thai Binh’s industrial parks adjusted

VGP – The Prime Minister has recently commented on a project to adjust the development plan for Thai Binh province’s industrial parks (IPs) until 2020.

August 20, 2018 4:51 PM GMT+7

Specifically, the PM agreed with the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s proposal to add a 200-hectare IP in service of agriculture to the development plan of IPs across the province up to 2020 (not including the 50 hectare planned for inland river port development).

Other IPs under the plan will be implemented pursuant to the PM’s Document No. 1816/TTg-KTN dated October 13, 2015.

The PM assigned the Thai Binh People's Committee to organize the selection of investors to develop IP infrastructure in accordance with the law; to receive opinions of the Ministry of Planning and Investment and concerned ministries and branches and organize the implementation of the approved planning; and to direct the concerned agencies and investors to make planning for each construction segment, and perform investment and IP establishment procedures.

The provincial People’s Committee is responsible for directing the province’s relevant agencies to closely monitor the investors’ observance of environmental laws; and to make, evaluate and approve the environmental impact assessment reports in strict accordance with regulations of the Law on Environmental Protection in industrial parks and provisions of other laws concerned.

The provincial People’s Committee has also been tasked with designing compensation and support measures for the households whose land has been acquired for the IP construction, in addition to accelerating the progress of building accommodations for workers and social welfare facilities for laborers working at the IPs.
