The Deputy Prime Minister said he was glad to see developments in the bilateral ties and appreciated the Senator’s workable contributions to regional peace, stability, cooperation and development, the East Sea issue, and the Mekong Sub-region.

Mr. Phúc hoped that the two sides would cement and deepen linkages in such areas as economics, trade and investment.

Senator Jim Webb said that the US Congress would closely follow regional situations and support multilateral and peaceful solutions to disputes in the East Sea.
