Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh receives Mongolian Deputy FM Batmunkh Battsetseg, Ha Noi, August 29, 2019

Receiving Mongolian Deputy FM Batmunkh Battsetseg in Ha Noi on August 29, Politburo member Minh stated that the traditional relations between the two countries have been increasingly consolidated, especially as Mongolia was one of the first two nations that President Ho Chi Minh visited following Viet Nam’s national reunification.

The host welcomed the success of the 8th political consultation at the deputy foreign ministerial level between Viet Nam and Mongolia co-chaired by the Mongolian official and his Vietnamese counterpart To Anh Dung earlier in the morning. He took the occasion to thank and hope that the Mongolian government would continue creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to lead stable lives in the country.

Battsetseg informed his host that during the political consultation, the two sides discussed and agreed on many specific measures and orientations to implement the agreements reached by the two countries’ senior leaders, aiming to further solidify the Viet Nam-Mongolia traditional relations and win-win cooperation.

Notably, the two sides reached a consensus on maintaining the exchange of delegations and meetings at all levels, especially at the high level, and coordinating well together in organizing activities to celebrate 65 years of bilateral ties (November 17, 1954-2019).

The guest voiced his wish for enhanced relations between the two Foreign Ministries aiming to promote their role as a connecting bridge to boost bilateral cooperation.

During his stay in Viet Nam, Mongolian Deputy FM Batmunkh Battsetseg had a working session with leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and visited a number of cultural and historical facilities in Ha Noi.
