Deputy PM receives Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Laos

VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue in Ha Noi on August 20 received Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Laos Bounpone Bouttanavong.

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue received Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Laos Bounpone Bouttanavong,  Ha Noi, August 20, 2019

At the reception, Mr. Bounpone Bouttanavong thanked the Vietnamese Party, State and people for supporting his nation in building its NA House, regarding it as an invaluable asset and symbol of bilateral ties. 

He applauded the two legislatures’ efforts to effectively realize their agreements signed in March 2017. 

He showed his elation at the success of the seventh conference of the NA committees for external relations of Cambodia, Laos and Viet Nam recently held in the northwestern province of Quang Ninh as a contribution to boosting ties among the three countries. 

Laos will closely partner with Viet Nam which will take on the role of the Chair of ASEAN and Chair of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) in 2020, as well as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2020 – 2021 tenure, for the benefit of the two nations and other member states, he told his host.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue hailed growing ties between Vietnamese and Lao legislative bodies.

Mr. Hue suggested continue working hand in hand to effectively carry out high-level agreements and fulfill a project on building the Lao NA House on schedule with guaranteed quality. 

The Deputy PM said he hopes the two sides would facilitate the exchange of visits at all levels in the coming time./.
