Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam receives Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education of the RoK Kim Sang Kon, Ha Noi, December 14, 2017

At the reception, Kim Sang Kon agreed with the host that the relations between Viet Nam and the RoK are developing across investment, trade, economics, culture and education.

The RoK is willing to share experience in new education methods with Viet Nam, he said, adding that his Government will continue encouraging Korean businesses to pour investment in Viet Nam, contributing to Viet Nam’s exports and generating jobs for local workers.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam noted that the RoK is one of the top five science cooperation partners of Viet Nam. The RoK could share experience and support Viet Nam to develop new development models such as virtual university, distance education and e-learning.

The Deputy PM urged the two countries’ relevant agencies to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese students to study in the RoK, focusing on vocational training and Korean teaching.

At the same time they are working to enhance cooperation in various fields such as culture and tourism on the basis of mutual trust and understanding, he suggested.

Viet Nam is the third biggest exporter of the RoK, while the RoK is one of the largest investors in Viet Nam, he said.
