Deputy PM pledges favorable conditions to ICBC

VGP – Permanent Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng on Tuesday hosted a reception given to Mr. Jiang Jianqing, Chairman and Executive Director of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).

Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng expressed his hope that the ICBC will operate fruitfully in Việt Nam and contribute to the strategic partnership for comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

He pledged that the Government of Việt Nam will offer favorable conditions for the ICBC and suggested the Bank provide some specific products, meet credit demands of Chinese investors here, help Việt Nam’s infrastructure construction in remote areas, allocate preferential credits for students, and boost cooperation with Vietnamese partners in all financial fields.

Mr. Jiang Jianqing thanked the Vietnamese Government’s assistance to his Bank, especially in opening its Hà Nội branch today.

The ICBC will do its utmost to assist socio-economic development and infrastructure construction in Việt Nam as well as promote investment and trade ties between the two countries, said the guest.

He revealed that the ICBC is ready to share with Vietnamese banks its experience of dealing with monetary risks and grant US $20,000 for Vietnamese excellent students to study finance and banking in China.
