Environmental pollution is now a burning issue in Việt Nam
Environmental pollution is now a burning issue and public concern in Việt Nam, one of five countries which are most severely impacted by the global climate change.

In 2009, the resource and environment sector strictly punished enterprises and producers who polluted the environment.

The Vietnamese Government already adopted climate change and sea level rise scenarios, laying the foundation for ministries and localities to design their own action plans to combat climate change.

However, the country is still facing many alarming environmental issues, such as low-quality water supplies, urban inundation, landslide, tidal flood, poor drainage system, shrinking forest area, and dust and air pollution in cities and industrial parks.
