Receiving the delegation of Vietnamese nationals from the US on Monday, Deputy PM Trương Vĩnh Trọng applauded active contributions made by the Vietnamese community residing in the US.

He emphasized that the Party and State always consider overseas community an indispensable part of the Vietnamese nation and facilitate their contributions to the fatherland.

The Deputy PM hoped that overseas Vietnamese in general and those in the US in particular would preserve national culture and identities, consolidate community solidarity and foster the friendship between Việt Nam and the host countries.

The overseas Vietnamese delegation from the US just attended the 1st Overseas Vietnamese Congress held in Hà Nội on November 21-23.
