Based on the National Assembly’s Resolution No. 48/2017/QH14 dated November 10, 2017 on the socio-economic development plan for 2018, and Resolution No. 49/2017/QH14 dated November 13, 2017 on the State budget estimate for 2018, the Government has issued Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP dated January 1, 2018 on major tasks and solutions to implement the socio-economic development plan and the State budget estimate set for 2018. The resolution has identified a number of important targets, including a GDP growth of 6.7%, an average CPI surge of 4%, a growth rate of 8-10% in export revenues, a trade deficit of below 3%, and a 10% rise in the total retail sales and service revenue.

Accordingly, the conference aims to review the disbursement of investment capital from the State budget and the investment capital from corporations, groups and businesses, whilst working out key measures to accelerate the common economic growth targets in 2018.

At the conference, the Ministry of Planning and Investment reported on the business production situation in Q1 of 2018, focusing on evaluating the good and limited aspects, recommending measures to facilitate production and business activities, and predicting growth scenarios in 2018. Therre are also the reports delivered by ministries, sectors, and localities.

Corporations, companies, associations, and enterprises will report on the business results and the production growth in 2017, and the targets for each quarter and the whole 2018, as well as the implementation measures.

They will also evaluate the advantages and difficulties, while proposing recommendations aiming to facilitate production in 2018 and in the following years.
