Deputy PM Phuc made the statement when attending and addressing the Viet Nam-the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Business Leaders’ Forum in Dubai on December 16, as part of his ongoing official visit to the UAE.

He reviewed outcomes of economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, saying that cooperation potential is considerable.

The Vietnamese Government wants to exchange and listen to specific ideas and suggestions from UAE businesses on measures to enhance bilateral ties and implement specific investment-trade cooperation projects, Deputy PM Phuc said.

Speaking at the forum, UAE Minister of Economy Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri stressed cooperation potential and opportunities between the two countries, particularly in agriculture, food processing, manufacturing industry and tourism.

He expressed his hope that tourism would lead bilateral relations thanks to close political and people-to-people ties, convenient connectivity and increasing number of flights between big cities of both countries.

At the forum, representatives from ministries and businesses of both countries shared their viewpoints about prospects of enhanced economic cooperation and promoted investment between the two countries, especially in fields of both sides’ potential and strengths.

Deputy PM Phuc witnessed the signing of the bilateral agreement on aviation transportation between Minister of Transportation Dinh La Thang and Minister Al Mansouri and a document on establishing Viet Nam’s exclusive trade representative office in the UAE, the Middle East and North Africa between the Vault Investment Fund and the Agarvina Company.
