Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm continues his visit in US

VNGOVNet – During his visit to the United States, Deputy PM, Foreign Minister Phạm Gia Khiêm met on March 13 the Los Angeles major, Mr. Antonio R. Villaraigosa and received Vietnamese businesses and intellectuals residing and working in this city.

Previously, in his visit to California, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm had had two meetings with hundreds of Vietnamese people settling in the Harbor Area, Downtown L.A, and Orange County.

At these meetings, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm reconfirmed that the Vietnamese Communist Party and State always consider overseas Vietnamese an indispensable part to the Vietnamese community. He also informed that Vietnam is speeding up the settlement of issues relating to overseas Vietnamese’s interests, such as visa exemption, housing purchase and policies on domestic investment.

The Deputy PM also directly answered many queries on various fields in order to closely link Vietnamese people residing abroad and their fellow-citizens in the homeland.
