Chairman Ma Xiao took the occasion to update the Vietnamese leader about positive results of the multi-faceted cooperation between Việt Nam and Guangxi in the fields of economy, culture, education and tourism.

The trade turnover between both sides escalated at 27.5% in 2009 despite the global financial crisis, he said, stressing that Guangxi always considers Việt Nam as its key business partner.

Particularly, the province would like to sharpen its manpower quality by asking for further exchange of experienced language teachers between both sides.

For his part, Deputy PM Nhân wished to bring the bilateral ties between both countries to a new plane in which the Guangxin-Việt Nam relationship plays an important role.

The Deputy PM also discussed with the host the construction of Việt Nam–China trans-border economic zones along the common borderline.

Both sides pledged to enhance cooperation in the fields of education, culture, tourism, sports and health while carrying out different agreements on animal and plant quarantine at borders.

The Vietnamese leader asked the Hà Nội University and the Guangxi Teachers University to link hands in building a Confucius Institution in Việt Nam.
