Welcoming the guest and his entourage, Deputy PM Nguyễn Thiện Nhân conveyed his gratitude to the State of Kuwait for granting preferential financial sources to upgrade rural infrastructure in Việt Nam through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.

He also applauded the Kuwaiti Government’s decision to offer 15 scholarships for Vietnamese trainees to study Arabian language and petrochemistry.

Suggesting Kuwait send students to Việt Nam for Vietnamese language courses, Deputy PM Nhân asserted that the cultural and educational exchanges are the important foundation to consolidate and develop the friendship between the two countries.

Minister Rashid Al-Haroun affirmed Kuwaiti investors’ aspiration to penetrate into Việt Nam, especially such fields as real estate and petroleum.

According to the guest, Việt Nam should make use of its mainstay exports to the Middle East market, particularly textiles, seafood, timber and wood furniture, computers, fruits and vegetables, footwear, and ceramic products.
