Organized by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, the International Conference on "The Future of Asia" is a forum that each year brings together political leaders, including many heads of governments, and top business executives from Asia to discuss outlooks of the region.

The main theme for this year's conference is "Toward an Open Economic Partnership: A New Foundation for Growth."

Discussions will be focused on how Asian countries should work together to develop the regional economic partnership as the new basis for growth while opening doors to extra-regional countries and how regional collaboration should be promoted in financial, trade, and environmental policies./.
