JETRO assessed Đà Nẵng as a new attractive investment destination for Japanese enterprises. Up to now, 29 Japanese enterprises have invested in Đà Nẵng, with the total registered capital of nearly US $250 million. As a gateway in the East-West economic corridor, the city has well-improved infrastructure, a good sea port and an international airport. The costs for employees, office and accommodation are acceptable.

In order to make use of those advantages, Đà Nẵng’s Tokyo Representative Office has worked with Japanese enterprises and organizations to send some delegations to seek for investment opportunities in such fields as auxiliary industries, high-tech parks and information technology.

At present, 30 big cities of Asia are named in JETRO’s Survey, including three of Việt Nam: Hà Nội, Hồ Chí Minh City and Đà Nẵng.

Đà  Nẵng  is a centrally-administered city, functioning as an economic, cultural, educational, scientific and technological center in the southern central coast of Việt Nam. It is located half way on the North-South transport axis, 764 km south from Hà Nội and 964 km north from Hồ Chí Minh City.

Đà Nẵng is one of the important gateways to the sea of the Central Highlands and Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar through the East-West economic corridor.

The city is also the intersection point of the four famous world’s cultural heritage sites (Huế Ancient Capital, Hội An Ancient Town, Mỹ Sơn Holy Land, and Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park).

Đà Nẵng is now the biggest financial, educational and training center in Central Việt Nam. At present, there are more than 40 State commercial banks, joint-stock banks, joint-ventures, financial companies; dozens of large-scale stock trading centers; 12 universities and institutes; 12 colleges; and many professional high-schools and vocational centers.
